LaGuardia Airport Parking

New York is absolutely beautiful. It is a huge city with hundreds of years of deep culture. It has multiple sports teams, an amazing amount of diversity, and some of the best colleges in America. Everything about New York is great... Except... Well maybe except for getting there and leaving. New York is well known for its reputation of overcrowding, and it isn't different at the airports. LaGuardia airport parking can be a nightmare, trust me. I have made hundreds of flights to and from the airport and it is an absolute pain. Fortunately, my hours and hours of frustration have taught me some valuable lessons about airport parking.

The first lesson is a major one; I really learned it in a hurry. Are you ready for it? Airport parking is expensive. Really expensive. Basically the LaGuardia airport has a lot of parking spaces available for people who need to leave their cars there for a couple weeks. By a lot I mean tons. At the time of writing this only about 60% of there spaces are filled. They have extra room, so it makes sense that the parking would be pretty cheap, right? The first day of parking at the airport costs a whopping $33. The next day will cost you another $33. Fortunately, after that, the price goes down to $18 a day after that. I have done a lot of travelling, and these rates are some of the highest I have ever seen. Most airports charge $15 a day from the beginning, but not here. So if you are trying to shop around for a cheap parking deal don't bother, because everything here is exorbitantly priced.

Secondly, the parking is actually pretty convenient. It is all located in a nice area pretty close to where you need to get off. I have been to many places where you need a hike to get to the airport from where you parked and it is not pleasant. The location of the parking can actually save you a lot of time, and it is a welcome relief from the inane layouts of most other parking garages.

If only all parking layouts were this convenient.

Ultimately, LaGuardia Airport Parking is a necessary evil any traveler must endure. It may be a little bit expensive, but it is convenient and the only option available.
